🏆 Shoreline Hockey’s 2025 Summer League Recap

The 2025 Shoreline Hockey Summer League delivered a competitive regular season, exciting playoff finishes and outstanding individual performances across all four divisions. The season concluded with four one-game championship battles on August 17 at The Plex.

🔰 Rookie Division

Playoff recap: The Rookie Leafs opened the playoffs with an impressive 10–3 semifinal victory over the Bruins, establishing themselves as a serious championship threat. In the second semifinal, the regular-season-leading Hawks survived a determined effort from the Wings, escaping with a narrow 6–5 victory.

The Wings responded in the consolation game, finishing their season with a convincing 7–2 win over the Bruins.

The championship game between the Leafs and Hawks was one of the most exciting contests of the playoffs. After scoring 10 goals in their semifinal, the Leafs continued their offensive surge and edged the Hawks 7–6 to capture the Rookie Division Shoreline Cup.

Playoff recap: The Pro Bruins earned their place in the championship game by outlasting the Wings in a high-scoring 8–6 semifinal victory. The second semifinal was a much tighter defensive battle, with the regular-season-leading Leafs needing overtime to defeat the Hawks 2–1.

In the consolation game, the Wings bounced back from their semifinal loss and closed their season with a 4–2 victory over the Hawks.

The championship brought the Leafs and Bruins together for another close contest. After nearly being eliminated in the semifinal, the Leafs found a way to win again, holding off the Bruins 3–2 to complete an outstanding season with a Pro Division Shoreline Cup championship.

Playoff recap: The All-Star Leafs advanced to the championship game with a strong defensive performance and a 4–2 semifinal victory over the Bruins. The regular-season-leading Wings made an even bigger statement in their semifinal, exploding offensively in an 11–2 win over the Hawks.

The Bruins recovered in the consolation game, defeating the Hawks 5–2 to finish the playoffs on a winning note.

In the championship game, the Wings continued the momentum created by their dominant semifinal performance. They defeated the Leafs 6–3, completing a regular-season and playoff championship sweep while outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 17–5.

Playoff recap: The Elite Leafs secured their place in the championship game with a hard-fought 6–4 semifinal victory over the Wings. The Hawks faced an even greater challenge from the Bruins, surviving a high-scoring battle with a narrow 7–6 victory.

The Bruins responded with their strongest offensive performance of the playoffs in the consolation game, defeating the Wings 9–4 to earn third place.

The championship featured the division’s top two regular-season teams. The Hawks and Leafs had both scored 68 goals during the regular season, and their final matchup delivered plenty more offence. The Hawks pulled away for an 8–5 victory, adding the Elite Division Shoreline Cup to their regular-season title.
