Coach & Bench Staff Application

Shoreline Hockey is looking for quality individuals and certified coaches/bench staff for our Shoreline Summer Hockey League.  Our Shoreline Hockey League will operate from June 3rd 2025 until Aug 17th 2025 on Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday evenings.  Ice times will vary from 6PM-9PM on weekdays & 5PM-7PM on Sundays.  

Coaches and bench staff are expected to be qualified as per the Ontario Hockey Federation & OMHA's officiating regulations.  Coaches and bench staff age 18 & older, must have a current vulnerable sector background check as of Jan 1st 2023.  Applicants are required to notify Shoreline Hockey if their vulnerable sector background check status has changed since their last background check.  Coaches and bench staff under the age of 18 will not require a vulnerable sector background check.

Successful coaching and bench staff applicants will be expected to be reliable, dependable, respectful and have a positive attitude.  Interested applicants are encouraged to complete the following application form.

Shoreline Hockey coaching and bench staff code of conduct acknowledgement:

• Shoreline Hockey and its members are to be committed to providing a safe sporting environment in which all individuals are treated with respect.
• This code shall apply to all Team Officials who are registered participants of Shoreline Hockey Programs.
• All Shoreline Hockey team staff shall conduct themselves, at all times, in a fair and responsible manner and refrain from comments or behaviours that are disrespectful, offensive, abusive, racist or sexist. In particular, Shoreline Hockey will not tolerate behaviour that constitutes harassment, abuse or bullying.
• Team staff shall avoid behaviour which brings Shoreline Hockey and/or it’s Member, or the sport of hockey into disrepute, including but not limited to the abusive use of alcohol and/ or non-medical use of drugs.
• Team staff shall at all times adhere to Shoreline Hockey’s policies and any rules governing any competition in which they participate on behalf of Shoreline Hockey.

Shoreline Hockey coaching and bench staff shall acknowledge a commitment to this code of conduct as part of an application as a coach or bench staff position with Shoreline Hockey.
